Middle Bhotekoshi Hydro Power Plant

The Middle Bhotekoshi Hydroelectric Project is located in Sindhupalchowk District of Bagmati Zone of the Central Development Region. The Project is basically a run-of-river type scheme having the capacity of 102 MW (3 Francis turbine units) with the design discharge of 50.8 m³/sec and available gross head of 235 m. This project utilizes water from Bhotekoshi River, one of the major tributaries of the Sapta Koshi River in the Koshi Basin. The river is of the snow, glacier and rain-fed type.
