Expansion of the Piraeus container port in Greece

The existing container terminal in the port of Piraeus, the biggest in Athens, underwent renovation and expansion. This involved building two fully automated container terminals for Super-Post Panamax ships.

Services provided

Detailed design of caisson walls, the platform on the quay where the containers are handled, the drainage system and the equipment accessories used to moor the ships.
Since Greece is prone to earthquakes, we performed extensive seismic calculations as part of designing the quay.
